Khalifa International Stadium is the first stadium in Qatar which can accommodate 40,000 fans. since 1976 the stadium is the first stadium of Qatar. In preparation for hosting the 2022 World Cup, Khalifa International Stadium has undergone extensive development work to become the first of the eight stadiums that will be ready to host the tournament. The stadium development work included changing its external façade and adding about 12,000 seats to raise its capacity, in addition to providing the stadium with energy-saving lighting systems.

The stadium’s readiness was announced in May 2017 when it hosted the final of the 45th edition of the Princes Cup. The stadium will host eight matches in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, including the match for third place.

Al Janoub Stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats during the Qatar World Cup 2022. It will host seven matches up to the quarterfinals.

This stadium was awarded best stadium design in the Sports Facilities and Stadiums under Construction category. Thus, it became the first football stadium in Qatar to receive this prestigious award.

Al Thumama Stadium will host eight matches during the 2022 World Cup from the group stage to the quarterfinal stage, it is scheduled to witness the Arab Cup matches six matches until the semi-finals.
